Eero Ettala pro model / Nitro 2012 //////
When I was a kid and getting more into the art and design stuff,
I was already then into snowboarding. I had cool visions and goals
for a kid, and back then designing a real snowboard one day was
already one of them. I was always excited about the yearly snowboard
mags with the "buyer's guide" sections, because they had the new
board graphics for the upcoming season. I even had blank paper-cuts
with snowboard shaped outlines and I used to color them with my
first brand new copic markers. It´s a shame that I don´t have them
anymore, ´cause those were the very start of a very long process.
It took me about 13 years to get there (hahah) but eventually I made it.
So I can say that this design work was a very special project for me.
I could even say that it's a dream come true.
At least, a very big personal milestone for myself.
